Messing with the classics
 a manip based on Grant Wood's classic portrait 'American Gothic' [link] and Gene Simmons KISS makeup. From the start of the piece, the farmer (modeled by Wood's dentist) had his tongue stuck out all Simmons style, but near the end of production I felt His eyes conveyed the sense that he knows his headbanging days are long behind him; Back came the somber mouth. I gave the woman (Who was allegedly modeled by the artist's sister) a bulbous, W.C. Fields type nose, just because I found it amusing. -- A fun little project, just for laughs.
